About

We Review AI Tools the Way L&D Professionals Actually Use Them

Senance is run by a team of credentialed instructional designers and curriculum development professionals. We work — and have worked — in corporate L&D environments where the stakes are real: compliance deadlines, SME availability windows, LMS migrations, and leadership asking for ROI data on every training dollar spent.

We started this site because most AI tool reviews are written for generic content creators or marketers. That’s not useful when you’re trying to figure out whether a tool fits into an ADDIE workflow, integrates with Articulate Rise, or can handle the kind of SME audio recordings that come out of a 60-minute Zoom call.

What We Cover

We test and review AI tools across the full instructional design workflow:

  • Course authoring — AI features in tools like Rise 360, Storyline, iSpring, and standalone AI authoring platforms
  • Voiceover and narration — AI text-to-speech tools built for eLearning, not podcasts
  • Video production — AI avatar and screen recording tools for training content
  • Writing and scripting — AI writing tools that handle storyboards, scripts, and facilitator guides
  • LMS and onboarding — Platforms with meaningful AI features, not just marketing copy
  • SME-to-course workflows — Tools that help you convert brain dumps and recordings into structured learning

Our Standard for Recommendations

We only recommend tools we’ve tested against real L&D workflows. If a tool doesn’t hold up when you’re building a 45-minute compliance course with three SMEs and a two-week deadline, we’ll tell you. If it saves you four hours on voiceover production, we’ll tell you that too — with specifics.

We earn affiliate commissions on some of the tools we recommend. This never influences our ratings or conclusions. Our credibility with L&D practitioners is the whole point of this site — we’re not going to trade it for a commission check.
